Overview

The RS Cabinet Maker II position at Gulfstream Aerospace in St. Louis involves fabricating aircraft furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using engineering drawings and specifications. The role requires teamwork and a willingness to improve quality craftsmanship while ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Fabricate furniture and wood-surfaced subassemblies using blueprints and engineering drawings
  • Assemble and install cabinet components including drawer-slides, hinges, and latches
  • Apply exterior surface materials such as laminates and veneers
  • Use hand-held and stationary power tools for fabrication and disassembly
  • Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies
  • Use material tracking system for parts demand and work sign-off
  • Collaborate with experienced technicians to implement process improvements

Required skills

  • 2 years experience in cabinetmaking
  • Basic knowledge of cabinetmaking processes, products, and tools
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Computer literacy
  • Experience with Catia, My3D, Corridor, Exalead, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in avionics, plumbing, finish, or upholstery preferred
  • Aerospace industry experience preferred
