Overview

The RS Avionics Elec Tech IV role at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation involves providing technical expertise and leadership in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics and aircraft systems to ensure defect-free operations. Candidates are expected to work flexible shifts and contribute to training personnel while emphasizing safety and quality in all processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform operational, functional tests, and repairs on avionics and aircraft equipment.
  • Provide training to personnel to promote cross-training goals.
  • Teach installation and functional testing of electrical and avionics components.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning systems efficiently.
  • Oversee compliance with engineering changes and modifications.
  • Conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate system performance.
  • Maintain daily logs and documentation of all work performed.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines on projects.

Required skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six years of experience in avionics/electrical career field or equivalent education and experience
  • A & P license, FCC license, or NCATT certification preferred
  • Proficiency in avionics systems operational testing and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
  • Self-inspection capability for avionics testing functions
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems beyond avionics, such as hydraulics or environmental controls
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
