Job Description

Overview

The Route Driver/Job Coach at Home of Hope is responsible for developing business relationships to facilitate the employment and social services of clients. This role includes advocating for clients, assisting them in job placement, and ensuring they receive the necessary training and support in various vocational environments.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop client-specific jobs by matching skills to career paths
  • Assist in the placement and retention of clients in vocational settings
  • Counsel clients on obtaining and sustaining social services
  • Advocate for clients' needs in the workplace
  • Complete documentation to support billing of services
  • Coordinate necessary services for clients based on evaluations
  • Assist with training issues to ensure clients receive appropriate job skills
  • Help clients achieve maximum potential and self-determination
  • Communicate daily schedules in the absence of the Retail Manager

Required skills

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency
  • 6 months' route driving experience in a service-oriented environment
  • Above average interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficiency in office equipment operation
  • Ability to organize tasks and produce accurate work
  • Valid driver's license and current automotive insurance
  • Dependable transportation
  • First Aid/CPR Training
  • Criminal background free of encumbrances identified by the State of Oklahoma Health Department
