Overview

The Shred-it Route Driver at WM is responsible for providing top-tier service to clients by managing document destruction needs while ensuring compliance with safety and legal standards. This role involves transporting materials, performing vehicle maintenance checks, and maintaining secure handling of confidential documents.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform onsite/offsite document destruction of confidential information
  • Conduct pre/post-trip checks and driver check-in on assigned truck
  • Report maintenance issues to Transportation/Dispatcher
  • Operate company equipment safely to minimize injury risks
  • Comply with local, Provincial, and federal laws governing driver fitness
  • Maintain high security while emptying consoles and collection totes
  • Service accounts using a hand-held device for tracking and accuracy
  • Manage assigned routes for timely and accurate collection of materials
  • Respond to customer inquiries and problems expediently
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • 3 years of experience in driving Box Trucks and route management
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Class 5 Driver's license (preferred)
