Overview

The Medical Waste Route Driver at WM plays a crucial role in servicing assigned accounts with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer service. This position involves transporting waste and supplies, managing routes, and ensuring compliance with all regulations while providing exceptional service to clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage assigned routes for waste pickup and transportation
  • Ensure safety and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Follow routing software and plan daily schedules based on customer needs
  • Prepare and secure waste for transport while servicing accounts
  • Complete assigned paperwork accurately and timely
  • Communicate with the Transportation Supervisor regarding route changes or issues
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip maintenance on the assigned vehicle

Required skills

  • 6 months of experience driving a commercial motor vehicle or box trucks
  • Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class B with an excellent driving record
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
  • Class 3 driver's license with air brakes preferred
  • Experience with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS
