Job Description

Overview

The Roadway Maintenance Worker at Creative Management Technology, Inc. is responsible for routine and on-call maintenance of roadway and roadside assets in Brevard County. This full-time position requires performing various maintenance tasks, including landscaping, drainage management, and asphalt repairs, while following safety regulations and completing documentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform mowing, edging, trimming, litter pickup, sweeping, and general cleanup
  • Clean and maintain drainage structures, inlets, pipes, and ditches
  • Assist with asphalt and pothole repairs, including material handling and patching support
  • Repair, straighten, or replace damaged signs, posts, guardrails, and roadside hardware
  • Set up, monitor, and breakdown traffic control in accordance with FDOT standards
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assigned equipment
  • Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and report equipment issues
  • Document completed work as directed
  • Follow all safety policies, FDOT specifications, and applicable OSHA requirements

Required skills

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Two or more years of safe driving experience
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Reliable attendance and ability to respond to calls
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Prior roadway, landscaping, drainage, or construction maintenance experience (preferred)
  • FDOT MOT certification or willingness to obtain (preferred)
  • Valid CDL (Class A or B) and/or experience operating mowers and maintenance equipment (preferred)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly and 75 lbs occasionally
