Overview

The Road Forklift Service Mechanic at Tri-Lift Industries Inc. is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing material handling equipment based on customer needs. This role emphasizes customer satisfaction and follows established safety procedures while maintaining a clean work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems and breakdowns
  • Perform scheduled repairs and maintenance on equipment
  • Maintain positive customer relations through professional interactions
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures
  • Document service calls accurately and neatly
  • Secure and manage parts inventory in company vehicle
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area and company vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and management
  • Report customer complaints and assist in resolutions
  • Attend training as directed by the supervisor

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, hoists, and hydraulic jacks
  • Strong communication skills with customers and team members
  • Understanding of service manuals and schematics
  • Physical stamina for strenuous activities and lifting
  • Knowledge of safety procedures for hazardous work environments
