Overview

The RN Supervisor for the Emergency Department at Medical City Denton plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care within the unit. The Clinical Nurse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating nursing functions, directing care in accordance with established policies, and contributing to improved departmental performance while fostering teamwork and a patient-first philosophy.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to enhance patient throughput
  • Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care quality
  • Collaborate with management to create a supportive teamwork environment
  • Engage in service recovery and support a patient-first philosophy
  • Facilitate staff hiring, training, and development
  • Manage staff scheduling and labor in line with patient care needs
  • Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course certification within 18 months
  • PALS certification within 90 days
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course certification within 18 months
