Job Description

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Pooler, Georgia, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Collaborating with medical providers, you will assess, advocate, and provide necessary nursing care to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures and functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Patient care and advocacy
  • Nursing assessment and medication administration
  • Communication skills
