Job Description

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. With strong staffing support and advanced technology at your disposal, you will assess patient conditions, collaborate with medical providers, and advocate for the best patient experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and every shift
  • Identify and report any changes in patient status
  • Perform nursing procedures or functions as ordered by medical providers
  • Document the administration of care in patient medical records timely
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients

Required skills

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Patient care and monitoring skills
  • Clinical education and documentation skills
  • Collaboration with medical teams
