Job Description

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves collaboration with medical providers to deliver pre-operative and post-operative care while advocating for patients to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient's medical record in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in care.

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Experience in patient care and clinical assessment
