Job Description

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Your role will involve collaborating with medical providers to provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care while serving as an advocate for patients, ensuring they experience unparalleled support and care.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, reporting any changes
  • Perform procedures and functions as ordered by the medical provider
  • Document care administration in the patient medical record timely
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Experience in patient care and nursing
  • Strong clinical documentation skills
