Job Description

Overview

As a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers to provide both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The role offers strong staffing support and advanced technology to help you focus on delivering safe and effective care.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or functions as ordered by medical providers.
  • Document care administration in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment related to cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
