Job Description

Overview

The RN Progressive Care role at Memorial Satilla Health involves coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while collaborating with medical providers. This position allows nurses to advocate for patients and influence patient care outcomes, while also providing pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting changes
  • Perform procedures as ordered by medical providers
  • Document care administration in patient medical records in a timely manner
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients

Required skills

  • RN (Registered Nurse) license
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (within 30 days of employment)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (within 30 days of employment)
  • Patient care and advocacy skills
  • Clinical documentation skills
  • Medication administration skills
  • Nursing assessment skills
  • Cardiac and post-operative care knowledge
