Job Description

Overview

As a Progressive Care Registered Nurse at HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. Your role includes providing pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, advocating for patients, and assessing patient conditions throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition upon admission and during each shift
  • Identify and report any changes in patient status
  • Perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider
  • Document care administration in the patient medical record timely
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients

Required skills

  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment
  • BCLS certification required within 30 days of employment
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Clear and active FL or multistate nursing license
