Job Description

Overview

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves collaborating with medical providers, advocating for patients, and providing education to patients and families while ensuring adherence to established nursing standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and shifts, reporting any changes
  • Perform procedures and functions as ordered by medical providers
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses
  • Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must obtain within 30 days of employment)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (must obtain within 30 days of employment)
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • At least 1 year of RN experience preferred
