Overview

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Progressive Care unit. This role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. The RN will serve as a patient advocate, providing both pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
  • Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses
  • Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in patient care

Required skills

  • Registered Nurse (RN) certification
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment)
  • Patient assessment and advocacy
  • Medication administration
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Collaboration with medical providers
