Job Description

Overview

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Galax, VA, to be responsible for patient care by utilizing the nursing process. The RN will demonstrate clinical judgment while providing care and will work under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological and psychosocial changes in patients
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare members
  • Document patient care plans using nursing diagnoses and expected patient outcomes
  • Perform nursing interventions according to identified priorities and patient care standards
  • Revise care plans based on evaluations and changes in medical plans
  • Establish priorities for patient care needs on assigned unit/floor
  • Complete other Registered Nurse duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current Health Certificate
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
  • Current BLS card
  • One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred
