Overview

Maxim Healthcare Services is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide pediatric private duty nursing care in Patrick Springs, VA. This role involves applying the nursing process to effectively deliver patient care and make clinical judgments under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
  • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare team members
  • Document the patient’s plan of care with nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes
  • Perform interventions according to patient care priorities and standards
  • Revise the plan of care based on evaluations and changes in the patient's condition
  • Establish priorities using clinical judgment to meet patient care needs
  • Perform other Registered Nurse duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current Health Certificate
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
  • Current BLS card
  • One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred
