Overview

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Pediatric Private Duty nursing in Andover, Virginia. This role involves the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care, emphasizing clinical judgment and accountability under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in patients
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare members and document nursing diagnoses
  • Document the patient’s plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes
  • Perform nursing interventions according to plan of care and hospital policies
  • Revise the plan of care based on evaluations and changes in the medical plan
  • Establish priorities in patient care needs for assigned unit or floor
  • Complete other Registered Nurse duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current Health Certificate
  • Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
  • Current BLS certification
  • One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred
