Overview

The role of Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON/ADNS) at Ronan HR Solutions involves being the second in command of the nursing department in a skilled nursing facility or memory care unit in Newton, Kansas. The ADON will work under the Director of Nursing to enhance patient care quality and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in managing nursing operations
  • Oversee patient care and service quality for a 45 bed facility
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Provide quality customer service to patients and families
  • Supervise nursing staff in the absence of the Director of Nursing

Required skills

  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in long term care
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and Joint Commission guidelines
  • Computer literate and knowledgeable in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
