Overview

The Director of Nursing at Recruit-Care oversees nursing and caregiving operations in home health care. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, supervising nursing staff, and coordinating client services while maintaining high standards of care and documentation.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing activities and staff related to caregiving
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Joint Commission Regulations, and all relevant laws
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training nursing and caregiver staff
  • Communicate client care plans with healthcare providers and families
  • Review client referrals and assign appropriate nursing staff
  • Maintain client records and ensure documentation accuracy
  • Develop and revise nursing policies and procedures
  • Conduct performance evaluations and in-home supervisory visits
  • Audit clinical records for compliance and accuracy
  • Maintain relationships with key referral sources

Required skills

  • Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN)
  • Registered nurse licensure in the State of Florida
  • Two years of experience in Home Health Care
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and home health regulations
  • Strong organizational and priority-setting skills
  • Ability to develop office policies and procedures
  • Proficient in office equipment and computer operations
  • Experience in training and developing nursing staff
