Overview

UNC Health is seeking experienced Registered Nurses for the RN Clinical Nurse II position in their Central Staffing Office. This role involves providing high-quality patient care across various clinical areas, including Acute Care, Critical Care, and the Emergency Department, in a dynamic staffing environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
  • Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Participate in identifying and meeting the learning needs of patients and families.
  • Evaluate patient outcomes and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems.
  • Organize and prioritize care according to patient needs.
  • Develop and update care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
  • Participate in promoting cost-effective care and hospital safety.

Required skills

  • Five years of inpatient hospital nursing experience.
  • Ability to float between different acuity levels and specialties.
  • Experience in patient education and care coordination.
  • Knowledge of healthcare organization policies and procedures.
  • BLS and other relevant life support certifications.
  • Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
