Job Description

Overview

The RN Clinical Care Leader at Good Samaritan is responsible for providing individualized nursing care in a home setting, utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with inter-professional colleagues. This role emphasizes leadership, effective communication, and comprehensive clinical reasoning to ensure quality care for residents.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process for individualized patient care
  • Collaborate with inter-professional team members
  • Document resident history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
  • Supervise unlicensed personnel and assume overall nursing accountability
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Analyze data and respond to changing patient situations
  • Perform resident assessments and educate residents on care plans

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (strongly preferred)
  • Current unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum two years of clinical experience (preferred)
  • Experience with Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
