Job Description

Overview

The RN Clinical Care Leader at Good Samaritan is responsible for providing individualized nursing care in a home setting, utilizing the nursing process for assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role requires collaboration with inter-professional colleagues and the supervision of unlicensed personnel, ensuring overall nursing accountability while working within established standards and practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care
  • Collaborate with inter-professional team members to plan and implement care
  • Document resident history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
  • Delegate tasks and supervise unlicensed personnel
  • Demonstrate competency in nursing expertise and practices
  • Communicate effectively with peers, residents, and families
  • Assess resident needs and provide education
  • Function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • 2+ years of clinical experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Strong clinical reasoning and critical thinking skills
  • Effective communication, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process preferred
