Overview

UCHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Acute Care Transplant and Thoracic unit in Lakewood, Colorado. This role involves providing specialized care for solid organ transplants and thoracic surgery, with a focus on high patient acuity and a collaborative, multidisciplinary team approach.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
  • Value and prioritize a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes
  • Model proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff
  • Contribute to safety and quality at the point of care in Acute Care units
  • Support individualized specialty education and training throughout clinical orientation

Required skills

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Minimum of 6 months nursing experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Critical thinking and patient assessment skills
  • Collaboration in a clinical environment
  • Experience in transplant nursing and intensive care
