Job Description

Overview

The RF Design Electrical Engineer will play a vital role in supporting military communication products from pre-release to obsolescence within a large defense technology company. This position requires a strong background in RF engineering and the ability to work collaboratively across multifunctional teams to resolve complex problems and ensure successful product launches.

Key responsibilities

  • Mitigate component shortages through alternative qualifications or redesigns
  • Determine design, process, and test improvements to enhance test yields and product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for manufacturability and testability in volume production
  • Work with design engineering and manufacturing to introduce new designs into production
  • Lead investigations and coordinate tasks while providing guidance to junior staff
  • Troubleshoot units, modules, and boards to the component level

Required skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 6+ years of relevant experience (4 with Master's, or 10 with no degree)
  • 4+ years of RF engineering experience
  • Hardware troubleshooting skills for analog and RF components and circuits
  • Experience in designing and conducting engineering experiments
  • Proficient in circuit design and analysis using ADS, MATLAB, and other simulation tools
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively
  • Experience leading technical design or troubleshooting teams
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as Oscilloscope, DMM, Spectrum & Network analyzers
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
