Job Description

Overview

Alsum Farms is seeking a Retail Salesperson to sell fruits and vegetables to local accounts and help with various sales-related tasks. This role involves achieving sales goals, providing support to retail accounts, and developing new business opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to sales and profit goals for the company
  • Achieve individual sales and margin objectives for assigned customers
  • Provide inside sales support for current retail accounts
  • Travel to retail sales calls as needed for account relations
  • Assist with general sales order entry
  • Work with sales team on special projects
  • Prepare account presentations and business reviews
  • Assist the retail team with purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Set selling price for fresh produce to ensure costs are covered
  • Perform other related duties as necessary

Required skills

  • Two to five years of retail grocery or foodservice experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical ability
  • Computer experience and presentation preparation
  • Positive attitude with a track record of success in sales
  • Self-starter and motivated
  • Ability to develop customer relationships and provide excellent service
  • Experience with HRIS software
  • Valid state motor vehicle license
