Overview

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Customer Service Supervisor in East Hanover, New Jersey, to provide exceptional service to pet parents while supporting associate development and engagement. This role will ensure pet parent satisfaction through effective communication, event coordination, and operational compliance, all while being part of a team passionate about pets and their families.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate experience and support development through training, onboarding, and mentoring.
  • Manage pet parent service interactions across multiple channels.
  • Promote store events and marketing initiatives related to adoptions and services.
  • Oversee store cleanliness, merchandising, and compliance with policies.
  • Address and resolve associate complaints and grievances.
  • Ensure a safe environment for associates, pets, and pet parents.
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle pressure and maintain composure
