Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart plays a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service for pet parents while managing store operations and associate development. This position involves leading the team to foster a positive environment and promoting pet care services and events, all while maintaining the store's cleanliness and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching for growth
  • Address and administer associate complaints and grievances
  • Lead and direct associates when acting as the Leader on Duty
  • Promote and coordinate store events and marketing initiatives
  • Ensure pet parent satisfaction through effective communication in various formats
  • Assist in the management of live pet sales and pet adoptions
  • Maintain store standards for cleanliness and safety
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions
  • Participate in shared responsibilities for store opening and closing

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
