Overview

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Customer Service Supervisor in Ramona, California, to provide exceptional service to pet parents while upholding the company's values. This role will involve leading and developing associates, ensuring store cleanliness, and driving customer experience strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching
  • Support and guide associates in daily tasks and responsibilities
  • Address and resolve associate complaints and grievances
  • Ensure overall store cleanliness and safety for people and pets
  • Promote store events and coordinate marketing initiatives
  • Handle pet adoptions and live pet sales
  • Backup operations for point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash transactions
  • Assist in managing store opening and closing procedures

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
