Overview

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Customer Service Supervisor (Key Holder) in Slidell, Louisiana. This role involves providing exceptional service to pet parents while ensuring a great in-store experience and leading associate development. The Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining safety and cleanliness standards in the store and promoting customer engagement through various store events and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitates training, onboarding, and mentoring for associates.
  • Directs associates and validates completion of daily tasks.
  • Addresses and administers associate complaints and grievances.
  • Promotes and coordinates store events and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains store cleanliness and oversees safety standards.
  • Assists with live pet sales and adoptions.
  • Operates point-of-sale systems and manages cash transactions.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Full-time availability with flexibility for evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
