Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart plays a key role in providing exceptional service to pet parents while supporting the development and engagement of team members. This supervisory position is responsible for ensuring a positive store experience, leading associates, and managing store operations to uphold the brand's values and standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate development through training, onboarding, and coaching.
  • Drive pet parent experience strategies and address concerns.
  • Promote and coordinate store events and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with policies.
  • Assist in managing live pet sales and pet adoptions.
  • Lead associates and delegate daily tasks during shifts.
  • Act as a backup for point-of-sale operations and handle cash transactions.
  • Prepare online orders for in-store pick-up.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
