Overview

As a Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart, you will play a key role in enhancing the experience of pet parents and ensuring a positive environment for associates. This position involves overseeing daily operations, fostering associate development, and promoting customer engagement through various initiatives in a dynamic retail setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to pet parents in-store and online.
  • Support and develop associates through training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Manage pet parent interactions and address concerns effectively.
  • Coordinate store events and marketing initiatives related to pet adoption and vet partnerships.
  • Ensure store cleanliness and uphold operational standards.
  • Back up point-of-sale operations and maintain cash handling compliance.
  • Act as the Leader on Duty in the absence of other leaders, guiding associates and addressing issues.
  • Promote teamwork and celebrate associate contributions to engagement.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Physical ability to handle, lift, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
