Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart plays a key role in providing exceptional service to pet parents while fostering a positive team environment. This position involves overseeing store operations, ensuring a safe and clean environment, and driving engagement strategies to enhance pet parent experiences.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitates associate experience and development through training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Drives the pet parent experience strategies through loyalty and promotions.
  • Promotes and coordinates store events and marketing for adoptions and veterinary partnerships.
  • Handles customer concerns and oversees live pet sales and adoptions.
  • Maintains store standards and ensures compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Supports daily operational tasks, acts as Leader on Duty, and addresses associate grievances.
  • Assists in maintaining cleanliness of the sales floor and other store areas.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
