Overview

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Customer Service Supervisor in Thunder Bay, Ontario, to provide exceptional service to pet parents and ensure a positive store experience. This role includes responsibilities in team leadership, training, and maintaining store standards while promoting pet parent initiatives and overseeing store events.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching
  • Support the development of associates and provide performance feedback
  • Address and resolve associate complaints and grievances
  • Manage pet parent experiences and outcomes both in-store and online
  • Promote and coordinate store events and marketing for adoptions and clinics
  • Maintain compliance with store policies and procedures
  • Ensure safety for associates, pets, and pet parents
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness standards across the store

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Full-time availability with schedule flexibility
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
