Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart is responsible for delivering exceptional service to pet parents while supporting associate development and ensuring compliance with company policies. This role acts as a key holder and is vital in creating a positive store experience, overseeing operations, and leading a team dedicated to pet care.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching
  • Address associate complaints and grievances
  • Drive pet parent experience strategies through engagement and promotions
  • Promote and coordinate store events for adoptions and veterinary partnerships
  • Ensure store cleanliness and compliance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain sales floor and pet training areas to established standards
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and manage cash transactions
  • Assist in the opening and closing of the store

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Full-time availability with flexibility for evenings and weekends
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
