Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to pet parents while supporting and developing associates. This position involves overseeing store operations, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and driving initiatives that enhance the pet parent experience.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate the associate experience and support development through training, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Drive pet parent experience strategies and handle customer interactions.
  • Promote store events and partnerships for adoptions and veterinary services.
  • Ensure compliance with store cleanliness and operational standards.
  • Act as the Leader on Duty, supervising associates and addressing concerns.
  • Maintain store safety and take action for sick or injured pets.
  • Assist in daily store opening and closing procedures.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Full-time availability with flexibility for evenings and holidays.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to react under pressure.
