Overview

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Customer Service Supervisor in Bloomington, Indiana to provide exceptional service to pet parents while fostering a strong team environment. This role involves overseeing store operations, ensuring safety and cleanliness, and enhancing the customer experience through various initiatives and promotions.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate experience and support development through training and mentoring
  • Drive the pet parent experience and address concerns
  • Promote and coordinate store events and marketing for adoptions and clinics
  • Maintain store standards and ensure compliance with policies
  • Oversee daily tasks and lead associates as the Leader on Duty
  • Prepare online orders for in-store pick-up and ensure a positive experience
  • Manage cash transactions accurately at the point-of-sale
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness in various store areas
  • Support other departments and perform assigned duties

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Full-time availability with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
