Overview

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Customer Service Supervisor (Key Holder) in Madison, Wisconsin to lead and enhance the pet parent experience. In this role, you will support and develop associates, manage store operations, and ensure overall store cleanliness and safety while promoting PetSmart's values and services.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Oversee the shopping experience for pet parents both in-store and online.
  • Manage store events and marketing for adoptions and vet partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with store standards and policies.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Address associate grievances and improve overall engagement.
  • Maintain a safe environment for associates and pets.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
