Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to pet parents while ensuring the store operates smoothly. This position involves leading associates, overseeing store cleanliness, and maintaining brand integrity while fostering a positive experience for both customers and pets.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate experience and support development through training, onboarding, and mentoring.
  • Drive pet parent experience strategies through loyalty and promotions.
  • Promote and coordinate store events and marketing for pet services.
  • Maintain store standards and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Address and administer associate complaints and grievances.
  • Assist in live pet sales and adoptions.
  • Prepare online orders for in-store pickup and ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, breakroom, and pet areas.
  • Supervise associates and assign daily tasks as the Leader on Duty.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
  • Flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
