Overview

As a Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart, you will lead the customer experience while supporting the development of your team. This role involves ensuring the safety of pets and customers, maintaining store cleanliness, and driving the pet parent experience through various interactions and events.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate training, onboarding, and development
  • Oversee daily tasks and direct associates as Leader on Duty
  • Address and manage associate complaints and grievances
  • Promote and coordinate store events and marketing initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with store policies and maintain a safe environment
  • Support pet sales and adoptions
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions
  • Maintain store standards and cleanliness across various areas

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
