Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to pet parents while supporting associate development and engagement. This position entails overseeing store operations, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards, and promoting the overall pet parent experience through effective leadership and communication.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching
  • Address and administer associate complaints and grievances
  • Oversee pet parent experience and outcomes in various interactions
  • Promote and coordinate store events and marketing initiatives
  • Handle cash transactions and ensure accuracy with POS systems
  • Maintain store standards and compliance with company policies
  • Ensure a safe environment for associates, pets, and pet parents
  • Assist in opening and closing store procedures

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Full-time availability and flexibility in schedule
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
