Overview

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Customer Service Supervisor who will play a crucial role in enhancing the experience of pet parents while embodying the company's values. This position not only focuses on providing exceptional customer service but also involves leading and developing associates to create a positive work environment and ensure store operations meet safety and cleanliness standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service to pet parents both in-person and online
  • Oversee and support associate training, onboarding, and development
  • Lead and mentor associates in daily tasks and engage with them regularly
  • Address associate complaints and grievances, promoting associate engagement
  • Manage store cleanliness, merchandising, and safety compliance
  • Coordinate store events and marketing initiatives
  • Handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems
  • Assist in other departments as required

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 pounds
