Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart is responsible for providing exceptional service to pet parents and ensuring a positive store experience. This role includes people leadership, managing store cleanliness, promoting pet adoptions and merchandise, and supporting associate development.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate experience and support development through training and mentoring.
  • Drive pet parent experience strategies through customer interactions.
  • Promote and coordinate store events and marketing for adoptions and vet partnerships.
  • Handle customer concerns and ensure compliance with store policies.
  • Assist with point-of-sale operations and maintain accurate cash handling.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for associates, pets, and customers.
  • Support store opening and closing procedures.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
