Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service to pet parents while supporting store operations and associate development. This position involves overseeing the pet parent experience, maintaining store standards, and ensuring a safe environment for both associates and pets.

Key responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching
  • Drive pet parent experience strategies and address concerns
  • Promote store events and marketing efforts related to adoptions and vet partnerships
  • Manage live pet sales and adoptions
  • Delegate and validate the completion of daily tasks
  • Maintain store cleanliness and uphold merchandise presentation standards
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with store opening and closing procedures
  • Support various departments as required

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
  • Preferred leadership experience
  • Full-time availability with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends
