Overview

PetSmart is seeking a Retail Customer Service Supervisor who will play a crucial role in enhancing the pet parent experience while ensuring operational excellence in the store. This position involves leadership responsibilities, including facilitating the development of associates and maintaining a safe and clean environment for both pets and customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to pet parents in-store, over the phone, and online.
  • Support associate development through training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Promote and coordinate store events and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee store cleanliness, merchandising, and compliance with policies.
  • Address and manage conflicts and grievances among associates.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Ensure a safe environment for associates, pets, and customers.
  • Assist in other departments as required and fulfill additional assigned duties.

Required skills

  • 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Full-time availability with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
