Position: Retail Butcher Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent Compensation: $23.00 per hour Working hours: 30 hours per week Benefit: 4% of vacation payJob Duties Cut and weigh meat and fish for sale at self-serve counters or on special order from customers Cut, trim, bone, tie, and grind meats, such as beef, pork, poultry, and fish, to prepare meat in cooking form. Slice and grind meat using a grinder and a slicing machine Prepare meats, fish, and shellfish for processing, cutting, etc. Package and price meat products for sale Make special sausages and slice cooked meats Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, fish, and shellfish products, as well as standard cuts of meat and poultry. Make standard cuts of meat from carcasses, sides, and quarters, and remove bones from them Maintain adequate meat storage in the supermarket Keep an eye on the food storage conditions on a regular basis.
