Fresh Baguette is seeking a Retail Baker to join its team in Germantown, Maryland. As a fast-growing artisanal bakery known for its high-quality organic breads and pastries, the role involves creating delicious baked goods and providing exceptional customer service within a vibrant atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and prompt customer service
  • Handle cash and credit transactions efficiently at the cash register
  • Offer product recommendations to enhance customer experience
  • Bake a variety of breads and baked goods
  • Prepare products for the next day's baking schedule
  • Organize and maintain the freezer and fridge areas
  • Pack away delivery items and ensure proper storage
  • Set up the bread display for an inviting presentation
  • Clean and sanitize the baking station
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food storage standards
  • Make and serve baked goods, sandwiches, salads, breads, and pastries
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with customers
