Overview

El Monte Sagrado is seeking a Restaurant Server to join their team in Taos, New Mexico. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional service, creating memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced environment while ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to service standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
  • Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs throughout the meal.
  • Present checks and process payments accurately.
  • Deliver food and beverages according to service standards.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Complete opening, running, and closing side work.
  • Assist teammates by running food and clearing tables.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed about menu changes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
  • Ensure compliance with nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards.

Required skills

  • Clear verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and late nights.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • High volume and/or fine dining experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with POS systems.
  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification.
  • Current Alcohol Server Certification.
